Computer assisted coding

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, part of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, has gone live with AIM’s EMscribeT computer assisted coding (CAC) solution to increase the efficiency of its outpatient records and automate data abstraction for streamlined billing and coding. EMscribe is a CAC technology that scans the entire patient record for appropriate ICD9-CM diagnostic and procedure codes and CPT codes using innovative language processing technology.
