GE Security’s Homeland Protection Business is executing delivery on a contract worth up to $13.5 million for MobileTrace handheld contraband detection systems. MobileTrace incorporates GE’s patented ITMS (Ion Trap Mobility Spectrometry), or trace technology, into a highly portable device. U.S. courts have considered the results of testing with trace technology in drug related prosecutions.
