Property tax collection

Montgomery County, Ohio, Treasurer’s Office (MCTO) has added back office payment processing to their automated property tax collection solution which already allows cashiers to capture property tax check images for nearly 160,000 properties upon receipt. Two years ago, the county implemented an innovative solution utilizing the Panini My Vision X check scanner and Breckenridge Financial Systems’ remittance processing software to streamline property tax collection at each cashier station. The cashiers scan property tax checks upon receipt and the taxpayer’s file is immediately updated. This solution has saved Montgomery County, Ohio, valuable time and money.
