$9m subcontract

Alion Science and Technology, an employee-owned technology solutions provider, has been awarded a subcontract to provide engineering and technical services to the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) in support of the Network Planning Terminal (NPT). The total value of the task order is in excess of $38 million, with Alion awarded nearly $9 million over three years. The team is led by Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems. The NPT, which was developed by Alion, provides tools for network planning, engineering, and battlefield spectrum management to the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and Allied Forces worldwide. The system supports global exercises and ongoing military operations.
