Remote visual inspection

GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies has won a contract to provide remote visual inspection (RVI) equipment, operator training and data management software to the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) inspection teams supporting the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. GE will supply XL G3 VideoProbes outfitted with Menu Driven Inspection (MDI) software to help standardize the inspection process and increase accuracy and efficiency. The U.S. Navy will deploy the equipment to large Naval bases both within the Continental U.S. and overseas. The equipment will be used to inspect steam generation and rotating power & propulsion components on all non-nuclear powered naval ships.
